We Come for the Art...But We Stay for the Greased-hog-catching Contest
(that's French for a pitcher-show) of photos by Michael Kenna [gallery one, gallery two]. We don't know much about art aside from those lovely Anne Geddes photos, but we know what we like ... and we like Michael Kenna. He takes these very dramatic, peaceful photos of landscapes, frequently with seemingly-abandoned industrial elements and a Marlene-Dietrich-esque soft focus. We don't believe we've ever seen cloudy skies captured with such profoundly meticulous etheriality - hey, look, your pretentiousness just rubbed off on us!
