A woman on a JetBlue flight from Long Beach to San Francisco was grossed out Wednesday, when the passenger behind her shoved their feet between the airplane seats.

"I was flying home to San Francisco," Jessie Char told TODAY, "and was so excited when I realized I had the whole row to myself. I even left the armrests up so I could bask in my luxurious airplane bench."

"A few minutes in, I heard one of the armrests fall down. I looked over, figuring the hinge was loose. At that moment I noticed a foot emerge, followed by another foot on the other side," she says.

"The toes were in full wiggle."

But it gets better, Char says, as

"While I was logging onto the airplane Wi-Fi, I saw the left foot stretch over to open the window, and then close it again," she told TODAY.

She sought a flight attendant, but when one approached "the feet discreetly retracted back into the abyss of row 6," Char says.

Lest you think this was a tall person seeking some relief, Char says that's not the case. NBC 4 reports that Char says the culprit was a woman "about 5 feet 3 inches tall — or shorter — and was seated in a row with extra leg room." SFist's email to JetBlue for comment on the situation had not been returned as of publication time.

If you needed a second party to tell you this is pretty yucky, I can refer you to the Chicago Tribune, which in a July column from "Answer Angel Ellen" wrote "Never take off your shoes on an airplane. Period." They didn't say anything about what extremity one should use to operate the window shade, but assuming they are in working condition, we suggest using the one located at the end of your arm.

Bigfoot Captured (Maybe)

During a press conference in Palo Alto today, two men from the South, Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer, stand by their claim that they have the Bigfoo...

misc

big

bigfoot

creature

foot

lore

man ape

myth

the south

Brock Keeling

During a press conference in Palo Alto today, two men from the South, Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer, stand by their claim that they have the Bigfoot bagged and tagged next to the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda box inside their freezer. Recently, it seems, the two "friends" were hiking and came across the man-ape corpse with open wounds. Sadly, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Reserve agency will not investigate Bigfoot's death because "it is not a federal priority.
