Ever misplaced a grocery or to-do list? Your lost note could appear in Lost and Found in the Mission, a play based on true stories salvaged from scraps of papers found around the Mission District. The production, by Boathouse & Co., includes songs, dancing, beat-boxing and mass hallucinations. Tickets are available on a sliding scale ($15-$25), here, show starts at 8pm. This weekend is gonna be ginormous, with Bay to Breakers,the Maker Faire, the Prince and Bjork shows - so dive right on in with tonight's top picks:

an exhibition that explores the unfolding of narrative through drawing, video, collage, sculpture, and music, with works by SF's Katrina Lamb and New York-based collective Lansing-Dreiden. Lamb and Lansing-Dreiden share an interest in synthesizing the realms of art and music, creating works that resonate with mythology, fantasy, and even daily life. The reception is followed by musicial performances by Katrina Lamb, Mario Balibrera, and Harry Merry, a Dutch singer and organist whose lyrics weave contemporary and historical Dutch folklore into eclectic and driving synth powerpop in a "is he serious or just being ironic" manner. (6pm - 8pm, music at 8pm)

Venerable contemporary art institution, Southern Exposure hosts a big fundraiser tonight - its 7th Annual Monster Drawing Rally, where an impressively large number of local artists take turns drawing things on paper, which are then sold for a measley $50 with all proceeds benefiting Southern Exposure's exhibition and educational programs. Some draw monsters, some draw abstract patterns and shapes, though maybe one can be convinced to do caricatures of Bill and Hilary Clinton like the sidewalk guys on Fisherman's Wharf. Rally up at the Verdi Club (2424 Mariposa St between Hampshire and Potrero). (6 - 10:30pm)

Monday is our favorite day to do laundry, thus we are thrilled by the possibility of satisfying our dire needs for both clean socks and weird live music at once at the Brainwash Café (1122 Folsom St. @ 7th). The Jardin Noir Dark Circus Radio Project blends psychedelic jazz improv and world music with strange and compelling results for free. (7-10pm)
