You may not be into leather or the BDSM scene, but if you live in San Francisco you've probably breezed through Folsom Street Fair once or twice. Call it what you will, but it is the largest event of its kind in the world, and the third largest single-day outdoor event in California -- behind SF Gay Pride and maybe Long Beach Pride? (We think these numbers are hard to nail down, but suffice it to say the gays like to party outdoors.)

Jackie Beat, She of the Corn Syrup Spoofs, Comes to SF
You may recall L.A.-based drag queen Jackie Beat's corn syrup ad parodies which we aired here on SFist a few months back. Well, the LA-based Ms. Beat is coming to town next weekend with her band Dirty Sanchez to perform aboard the S.S. Trannyshack during Folsom Street Fair weekend (buy tickets for this drunken boat cruise now, we hear they're almost sold out).

The Project on Government Oversight sent Mother Jones and Gawker some delightful snapshots of a festive party hosted at Camp Sullivan, the home to the ArmorGroup guards folk who protect and serve nearby US embassy compound in Kabul.
