Where To Buy Your Valentine's Day Flowers
Valentine's Day is just around the corner. If you don't have anyone with whom to celebrate the annual ode to love and intimacy, you are, presumably, worthless. If you do have someone with whom to celebrate the annual ode to love and intimacy, but would rather proudly declare that you and your paramour are simply too punk-rock to honor such a day, you are, most definitely, annoying and cruel.
Tulipmania at Pier 39, Through Sunday
We wish we had heard about the annual, week-long Tulipmania event at Pier 39 before the rain set in, although it looks like Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday might be dry.
Tulipmania showcases thousands of tulips throughout both levels of Pier 39, featuring a variety of "whimsical topiaries" interspersed among the flower beds.
Racist Vandal(s) Attack Castro Flower Stand Again
In the second time in two years, Guy Clark, the gentleman who sells flowers 15th and Noe Streets, had his stand vandalized. Yesterday, shit was smeared along the walls of Clark's makeshift flower shop along the sidewalk, and said poop was also used to spell out the n-word along the walls. No arrests have been made. Clark has been selling choice blooms at that spot for over 27 years, and the spot saw a similar attack occur back in 2007. (CBS 5)
