Friend of SFist, Daniel, accompanied last night's Flash Mob at Union Square, in which approximately fifty people sang the Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends." He managed to capture about sixteen seconds of video (featured above) before his battery died. He noted that a lot of people were shaky on the lyrics aside from the chorus.

FLASH MOB: Ok, folks, it's apparently time for yet another flash mob. This one will last five minutes, and everyone will be singing the Beatles' "With a Little Help From My Friends" (in the key first note Ab). They suggest bringing a walkman or mp3 player to brush up on the song and to bring friends, of course.
In yet another attempt to turn the city of San Francisco into a Knott's Berry Farm-tiered theme park, San Francisco officials, "say they are seriously considering cracking down on one of the city's most popular events in the growing 'flash mob' phenomenon," according to the Chronicle. It's on.

We just got word that maybe, perhaps, probably a flash mob-ish type of event is happening at SF MOMA tomorrow at noon. Check it:
Yes, yes -- most of you are the whole flash mob thing. But for those of you who aren't jaded and bitter old turds, check out today's flash mob froze over in Berkeley at Upper Sproul Plaza as the Campanile struck 1 p.m. today. We've only seen pictures of frozen flash mobs -- which could have been any photo of any large gathering, really -- so this video is kind of nifty.
