Carrying the flag to the pole, Brian Wilson first ran into the outfield, climbed the wall, ran up the stadium stairs, and doled out high-fives to Giants fans before helping raise the World Series flag at AT&T Park today. Quite a moment.
Giants Flag to Adorn Atlanta City Hall
Now that the Giants will advance to the National League Championship Series, one mayor will have to make good on a friendly mayoral bet. As the Chronicle pointed out over the weekend, "San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and his Atlanta counterpart, Kasim Reed, have agreed to fly the winning team's flag over the losing team's City Hall." What's more, Reed will have to give Newsom a personal tour of Atlanta.
