Does your basement play space lack a stockade?* Are you in need of some shackles, mechanical sex devices, or the like? Then you may want to head to the Armory on Thursday afternoon where, as part of Kink.com's relocation of all production to Las Vegas, the fetish porn concern is selling off a bunch of props and furniture.

We don't have a list of what may be available as part of this most unusual sort of garage sale, but they've advertised the sale on Craigslist saying it will be happening from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday. It looks like it may be happening again from noon to 5 on Saturday as well.

"Purchase a piece of SF kinky history," they write. But you can't just drop in. Use the Craigslist link and email them your name so that the security team will have you on a list, should you want to peruse what's available.

Update: Kink sent over a couple photos of things for sale, including coffins, and a really disgusting looking toilet.

Fetish fans arrived en masse to the 30th Folsom Street Fair in SoMa for day full of fun, sun, whips, chains, and brazen nudity.

The event, which raised $325,000 for local and national charities in 2012 alone, was greeted by cloudy skies, perfect for festival goers wear next to nothing. When the event first started in 1983, it was a little-known local event that picked up where the increasingly safe and family-oriented SF Pride Parade let off. Today, corporate sponsors from beer companies, wireless carriers, and megachain hotels all take part in the annual Folsom Street Fair.

The abnormally sunny weather provided lots of skin and randy behavior at the annual ode to sex and fetish. SoMa's annual Folsom Street Fair was a wet one. Also, it rained. (Ha!) But seriously, folks, loads or sex fetish fans descended upon Folsom this weekend for their sex fetish fair. Even mayoral candidate Joanna Rees showed up to show off her legs. (Really, Joanna, you look amazing here.) So did Ross Mirkarimi, but sporting far too much clothing. Yesterday on Dore Alley, loads of gay men (and a smattering of women) converged for the annual Dore Alley (aka Up Your Alley) Fair, SOMA's other sex fetish fair. Similar to Folsom Street Fair but grimier and more intimate, folks showed up sporting leather gear, animal attire, bare butts, straitjackets, and more. Starting on May 14, and the second Saturday of each month following, fetish venue Club Eight will host a club night dedicated to gingers and those who admire their fiery locks. It's called Red Meat, it's in SoMa, and your very own SFist editor (a thirtysomething survivor of crimson-infused follicles) will be there for the kickoff to give you a blow-by-blow account, if you will. (But probably only once as we get a bit squeamish around redhead fetishists. Sorry.)

While we're certain woman are more than welcome at this club night, straight male ginger-lovers should probably look elsewhere to find their own Julianne Moore. No offense.

On Sunday, SoMa's Dore Alley turned up the heat for their annual sex fetish festival, the Up Your Alley Fair. Described as a smaller Folsom Street Fair, but for adults (let's face it, the Folsom Street Fair, while still loads of summertime fun, sees more baby strollers and feather boas than it does chaps and poppers), attendees drank beer, met other like-minded folks with similar fetishes, and even played a game of semi-naked Twister.

Note: while all of the people in these photos have their bathing suit areas covered up (more or less), these are generally SFW, but if you want to be on the safe side, wait until you're at home to view them!

In an effort to dilute itself into irrelevance, Join the Impact, a grassroots No On 8 site, has now taken on Our Patron Saint of BART Police Oppression, Oscar Grant.

In its most recent post, JTI scribe "willow" starts off telling No On 8 folks that, "It is difficult for me to find words at the moment to express my feelings of absolute horror and disbelief around the shooting of Oscar Grant (graphic and not suitable for children or work)." Then, miraculously, "willow" finds 892 of them to prattle on about the horrific killing of BART passenger Oscar Grant.

Just what the nature of Oscar's relationship with the LGBTQ community was is beyond us. If you know, let us in on it.

Anyway, this is exactly what SFist Mattymatt predicted the day after the protest. Fizzle fizzle fizzle. But the one bright side to crazy super-left-wing mouth-foaming like this? It keeps the idiots busy, so they don't bother the grownups as they go about doing serious work to overturn prop 8.

Gosh, Stonewall 2.0 lasted even less time than Web 2.0. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
