Photographer Scott Owens captured some lovely photos of Monique Jenkinson's/Fauxnique's performance at City Hall on Friday as part of Dancers' Group's Rotunda Dance Series. The performance, entitled Beautility, was a "site-specific, durational solo playing with layers of symbolism that embellish San Francisco's City Hall's ornately beautiful rotunda." Jenkinson's breathtaking costume was designed by the singular talent, "Mr. David."

Performance artist and dancer Monique Jenkinson will don her alter ego Fauxnique for the next three weekends at the Climate Theater, April 23 through May 9. Faux Real poses the question, "Can a real woman be a drag queen?" We say yes -- Fauxnique is the only woman to have been crowned Miss Trannyshack.
