The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition announced today their first-ever Family Biking Series, a three-part series of (free!) classes that will help you and your runny-nosed clan bike city streets better, safer. The three courses will cover such topics as riding while pregnant when you should start pedaling with your baby, and how to teach your rugrats to bike to school.

Mark Zuckerberg's Sister Quits Facebook
One of Facebook's earliest employees, Randi Zuckerberg, sister of CEO Mark Zuckerberg, resigned from the social networking company. Randi "is leaving her position as director of marketing at the Palo Alto-based website after six years with the company," reports the Oakland Tribune.
Kati Kim Speaks To '20/20' About Kim Family Tragedy
As many of you recall, four years ago in December of 2006, the nation was hanging onto every tragic detail related to the search for the Kims, a young San Francisco family of four who had disappeared in the deep and frigid mountains of Oregon.
The Baby-ry Christmas
'Tis the season to bundle your kiddos up and choose your own holiday adventure!
Funny, Because We're Michael Bauer's Long Lost Son
Food criticism czar Michael Bauer has had it with rapscallions tossing his name to and fro -- especially when they don't actually know him and/or have blood ties. (And you know who you are, crafty freebie demons.) Recently, Bauer spoke with Tyler Florence about several examples that went down at one of his spoons
Adoptable Pets of Week: Maggie & Crocket
This cutie girl is a true mixed bag of doggie goodness - a little of this, a little of that - and here you go - an adorable, playful ready to rock redhead. She's super social, and ready to walk you around the neighborhood and make new friends. Maybe you can give her a home and a big heart?
More Events for Kids This Weekend
As noted in SFist This Weekend and The Baby-ry Coast, there are lots of family activities to be had this weekend. Here are a couple of more that are happening tomorrow:
SFist This Weekend
It's supposed to rain on Sunday, but that won't stop the Sunday Streets and the two-weekend long Cherry Blossom Festival fun. Also happening on Sunday is the Festival of the Mandolins, which has a huge line-up.
Saturday includes the Cesar E. Chavez Holiday Parade & Festival in the Mission and the International Lao New Year Festival at Civic Center.
The Baby-ry Coast
This contributor recently had a baby, who is now two and a half months old. It's been quite a fun journey exploring the city with such a wee one. (We highly recommend the Ergo Carrier for such journeys. Strollers are a pain.)
Our New Favorite Newsom: Chloe
Just how she's related to San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom isn't clear. She might be his first cousin. What we do know is that Chloe Newsom thinks "books are fer fags!" -- and she's all kinds of awesome.
Jennifer Siebel Knocked Up, Says Nathan Ballard
Newsom spokesman Nathan Ballard just confirmed it.
I Heart My Violent Alcoholic Family
This sticker spotted as we depart for the Thanksgiving holiday. As a non-native species, we left our family and all its colorful characteristics on the East Coast. But we've found new family out here, and so we're looking for a sticker that reads "I heart my violent alcoholic family ."
Only 8,444 of you Have Donated to No on 8 -- What Are You Waiting For?
According to a handy zip-code-searching tool at the Chron, about 200 San Franciscans have stuck their noses into their neighbors' marriages by giving money to the anti-marriage campaign. Voting to end your neighbor's marriage? That's messed up. But here's what's even messier: less than 9,000 San Franciscans have donated to No On 8. Seriously, folks? How much easier could it be, especially now that they're matching donations?
But When is Spinster Appreciation Day?
Here at SFist, we have a general editorial policy of opposing everything; but we've looked, and there's just very little to dislike about "Family Appreciation Day." Except maybe the logo. Seriously, what font is that? It looks like something from a used car dealership. But aside from that, it's actually a pretty cool initative. Which is probably why Gavin's trying to take credit for it, as if he has now personally kissed every baby in Northern California.
