Raven Stewart, 26, and Lache Rodriguez, 24, were arrested on Friday in connection with a series of car burglaries in Emeryville and Berkeley. They are suspected in at least five smash and grabs, and they even brought along a 4-month-old infant for the fun. Charming.

Videos: Tsunami Waves Hitting Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Sausalito, and... Emeryville
Here are some videos of this morning's tsunami action shot by people along various Bay Area coastlines ranging from Santa Cruz to San Francisco to Emeryville. (Outside of Santa Cruz and Crescent City harbors, the tsunami didn't affect Bay Area cities. Harmless, really.)
Oakland/Emeryville Target Now Open for Business
Oaklanders have a new place to shop for discount housewares and Justin Timberlake fashions as Target opens a new store on the Oakland/Emeryville border, at 1555 40th Street. The big ribbon cutting happened Tuesday, as Oakland North reports, and the place was open as of yesterday -- but the grand opening event is technically on Sunday, March 6.
Estimated 180 People Brawl In Emeryville Bar Fight
A massive brawl involving 180 people broke out last night at Kitty’s in Emeryville that sprawled out into the streets. Supposedly Kitty’s is known as a place where fights break out—one Yelper said , “Way past time for the city to shut this place down before someone gets killed."
Pixar's First Lady Director Dropped
From the NYTimes comes confirmation that Pixar has removed director Brenda Chapman from the Emeryville-based studio's upcoming girl-centric feature Brave. Chapman, who wrote the screenplay, would have become the first woman to direct a feature for the Pixar, had they not replaced her with director Mark Andrews. The Emeryville studio has also taken some flak for relying mainly on male characters and the film itself, a fairy tale about a headstrong princess in mythic Scotland, was expected to be the one that would place a Pixar character in the pantheon of Disney Princesses. While there's no doubt that we will still see Brave-themed trick-or-treaters in 2012, feel free to lament the lack of professional and/or fantasy female role models appropriately.

"He was suspended by coach Rex Walters with three weeks left in the season along with three other players for not complying with instructions during practice and did not play again." East Bay Couple Offering $1,000 Reward for Two Lost Toy Bears
You might have seen some of their 'Missing' posters around downtown, but an East Bay couple is offering a large reward for a pair of palm-sized stuffed bears purchased in Japan for $10, and which apparently have come to be avatars of sorts in their ongoing and dorky romance. Between online multi-player gaming, jobs in programming, and polyamorous sex play involving fuzzy animal suits*, Chris Ferreira and his girlfriend have found time to create a blog for the bears, and make a bunch of stop-action animated videos of the bears like the one you see above. Thus the loss of the bears is especially crushing.
Scribe at Chron Baby Blog Thinks He Found the 'Up' House
We've heard the new Disney/Pixar movie Up is fantastic, and we're not going to knock it or sing its praises here because we haven't seen it, and, well, we don't usually do movie reviews (trailer is after the jump).
East Bay Restaurant Heists Continue at Scary, Steady Pace
So far eight businesses in the East Bay have been held up by robbers in the past couple of weeks. Last night at around 9 p.m., two suspects hit Restaurant Furenzu on Adeline Street in Emeryville, according to CBS 5 (via Bay City News). While police can't be sure that last night's heist is related to the other ones that have been hitting East Bay restaurants, it does follow the same pattern: "[o]ne of the suspects revealed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from both employees and customers."
