Although SFPD inspector Matt Krimsky explicitly told SF Weekly's Joe Eskenazi that "there is no evidence of foul play whatsoever" in the elevator-shaft death of Dr. Dan Kliman, a hate crime and homicide task was formed soon after that declaration. Even though police claim that Kliman got stuck in an elevator between floors, manually opened the doors, and then fell seven stories to his death, this newly formed task force might - - suggest room for another possibility. (Commenters on several sites have theorized anything from a cover-up by the fuzz to anti-Zionist foul play.) Krimsky has since been ordered to button his lip when it comes to talking to the press.
