Yesterday's contests didn't quite draw the crowds that they would have had it been a lovely spring day in Dolores Park. But the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence moved the show over to the Eureka Rec Center, and some very slutty Jesuses (not to mention some drag queens in some inventive Easter hats) battled it out as they do every year. Easter's this weekend, and spring is in the air, which means lots of fun events -- something for everyone! Here are some highlights, via FuncheapSF. On Sunday, all sorts of traditions will be going down. Originally held on Lombard Street, the BYOBW (Bring Your Own Big Wheel) Race has since moved to the somewhat more (or less?) twisty terrain on Potrero Hill at Vermont and 20th streets. This weekend, daredevils came in droves with their own Big Wheel or fun-size riding device (e.g., an office chair) to plunge down one of San Francisco's steepest hills.
