This week we'd like to congratulate the -ist network's Mother Hen, Gothamist's Jen Chung, who found herself a recipient of Wired Magazine's Wired Rave Award. If that doesn't sound terribly exciting, keep in mind another recipient was J.K. Rowling. Yep, that's right, the -ist network and Harry Potter now have something in common. Go us. ...

As we promised earlier this morning, in response to SFist MattyMatt's brilliant suggestion -- it's Ask Chris A Question! Do you have a burning question you'd like to ask Chris Daly? Post it in the comments! We can't promise you that he'll answer it or anything, but hey -- you never know, he might. Welcome SFist Jessica, our undercover tourist! The all-Alcatraz outfit was definitely a nice touch -- and we're still looking forward to the poignant watercolors she's going to paint of her time on the San Francisco Bay Quackers tour. Lots of local news tidbits this week: the musical saw competition, Hitler references by a departing Niner, the police escorts for the renegade sound system on the N Judah -- and we noted the difficulty of complying......

The District 6 supervisor race just keeps heating up! This week's episode: Everybody Hates Diet Coke. Incumbent Chris Daly was just endorsed by the San Francisco firefighters' union. We can't wait for the picture of Chris wearing a firefighter's hat and carrying a ladder! BUT -- when the head of the Police Officers' Association, Gary Delagnes, heard the news, he hit the roof. He promptly fired off a note to the firefighters' union, reminding them......

Sampaist is on the scene in São Paulo beginning this week to become the only ist south of the Equator. Editor Leandro M. Pinto leads the paulistanos down there. You can protest someone at his office, sure, but when the whistle blows at the end of the day can you follow him home? D.C. has sports fans, apparently, and elephants aren't really cut out for zoos. There's this trick where you can read information from......

We love the Gate/Chronicle's Daily Dish, in large part due to the fact that we think it's so freakin' cute that a little glass dish is "rung" when it goes up. While we did note that they started allowing comments in August, it hasn't been until recently that we've started reading them. Upon our first reading, so many emotions rushed through our brains, everything from gratitude at our own commenters' comparative erudition (hell, not......
