Police then searched Lista's home, which turned up a "small amount" of methamphetamine as well. Ouch. But this wasn't the first time Lista's alleged actions have stirred controversy at the high school. According to the San Jose Mercury News:

Several students also said Lista was caught up in an episode last year involving links on his YouTube video-sharing account.

"I saw it myself," said Alfred Tam, a senior who was in Lista's leadership class. "He had links to his favorites' that were all these videos of underage girls dancing in bikinis." ... Mills principal Paul Belzer declined to address either the petition or the YouTube allegation Tuesday, saying both were personnel matters

Lista posted $100,000 bail this morning and has since been put ion administrative leave. His exact charges have yet to be announced while the police investigation is still underway.

SFist Tonight

<MTInclude blog_id="24" module="Corolla: Top">

Arts & Entertainment

A HREF

Aquarius Records

Click Here

Club

David

Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam

dj

film

Gothamist

IMG SRC

Mark Farina

nightlife

San Francisco

Sponsor Corolla

Star Wars

Television

Television Access

The Knockout

tonight

Brock Keeling

<mtinclude blog_id="24" module="Corolla: Top">

Every year, we spend Saturday at WonderCon in Hall A, watching panels of filmmakers and actors prattle on about upcoming films, and show exclusive clips and trailers. This year, we kept a running diary. Ahem:

11:12 AM – We’re in a gigantic line for WonderCon. In the pre-registration line, which is significantly longer than the pay-at-the-door line. So glad we paid in advance.

11:35 AM – Hall A is super packed. People are holding entire rows. We did manage to get an acceptable place to sit, not too far from the panel, and with a good view of the screen.

12:00 – The 10,000 BC panel is starting. We’ve got director Roland Emmerich along with two actors we’ve never heard of. One guy, one girl. They’re both very pretty.

12:16 PM – Roland Emmerich is funnier than expected. No one seems to care about the cast.

12:30 PM – The Get Smart panel. The director is here, along with stars Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. Now, these are movie stars.

12:45 PM – Every question so far has been for Steve Carell. He is, as expected, hilarious.

12:46 PM – Finally, the first question for Anne Hathaway: What’s it like working with Steve?

12:54 PM – Anne Hathaway comes across as really smart. She either is, or she’s really good at acting it.

SFist Tonight

<MTInclude blog_id="24" module="Corolla: Top">

misc

A HREF

AIDS

AIDS Foundation

Bel Air

Blue Ribbon

Castro Theatre

Click Here

comedy

Dark Room

David

David Fincher

Fresh Prince

Gothamist

IMG SRC

Obama

Pabst Blue Ribbon

Prince

sf

Sponsor Corolla

The Fresh

The Fresh Prince

Theatre

Thee Parkside

tonight

voting

Brock Keeling

<mtinclude blog_id="24" module="Corolla: Top">
The #1 reason folks don't ride their bikes more often: "Feeling threatened by cars."

Just some random scribbling on a game that is still reverberating through our hungover, overstuffed brains....

-One of our pet peeves in any sort of sports movies/TV show is that no matter how realistic the movie/TV show is, every game shown features a crazy upset that climaxes with a crazy, totally unrealistic play. It’s true of the otherwise seriously realistic "Friday Night Lights." But that game? That game actually was like how it was in the movies. A crazy upset...a crazy finale...and that totally insanely crazy play in which Eli Manning somehow eluded every Patriot defender and half the Pats bench to throw that hopeless quacking duck of a pass that David Tyree somehow, inexplicably caught off of somebody's helmet.

And that's why we watch sports.

The other great thing about the game is that if the Pats had won, the game would have merely been remembered as the final victory of the Best. Team Ever. But with the upset, the game will now be seen as maybe one the biggest, greatest, most super stupendously games ever. Crushing defeats by supposed juggernauts will do that. Plus, anything that wipes the smirk off of Belichik's and Brady's face is worth it. Not to mention the smirk of every douchey frat-boy who discovered a deep love of the Red Sox just over the past three years. Hell, even every damn smug Boston sports fan. As Nelson Muntz would say "ha-ha!"

SF Sketchfest Review: The Kids In The Hall in-conversation

The closing act of 2008's SF Sketchfest brought the prize of two nights with The Kids In The Hall. Don't get us wrong. We're not on some transplant-ish rant about the evils of condominiums or condo conversion; we'd gladly give up our drafty, earthquake damaged Victorian for some central heating, wall to wall carpeting, and choice views of all you peons below. But this? Is butt.

Boing Boing's David Pescovitz brings up a good point. Or rather, a good request: "I hope that a rich Satanist buys the condos and paints them black as a memorial." Word. Although speaking as a non-practicing Satanist, we would also consider painting it black -- a nice glossy, that is, with a fun trim -- in LaVey's honor and historical impact on San Francisco. Why the architect and/or owner didn't do so in the first place, which could've resulted in some decent press and a possible increase in the asking price, makes no sense. We hope the owners will reconsider this glaring oversight of local culture, whimsy, and good taste.
