T-Third Collision at 3rd and 22nd Sends Passengers to Hospital

A little before 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, a T-Third line collided with a truck, sending "at least a dozen" passengers to the hospital. Word has it "a southbound 18-wheeler at 3rd Street and 22nd Street" rammed into the Muni train. Buses will provide substitute service until the mess is cleaned up. Except delays during your commute home, Muni public transit riders.

A little before 6:30 p.m. last night, two F-line streetcars rammed into each other at The Embarcadero and Washington, sending both operators and four passengers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Other wounded passengers were treated on the spot. According to Judson True, SFMTA spokesking, "The collision is under investigation." Anyone with raw footage of the crash, like last June's T-Line crash over at AT&T Park, is urged to post it right-quick for our temporary amusement. (SFGate)

Double Equine Death Result of Collision, Not Foul Play

The death of two horses found at a Solano County ranch last Saturday has been ruled accidental. It seems that they "died after they collided, breaking their spinal cords," and not because of any foul play. According to Marisa Lagos over at the Gate:

Barge Hits Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

According to the Coast Guard, "a barge has hit the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge" around 6 p.m. this evening. Yikes! The barge, reportedly carrying 63,000 barrels of heavy black oil, hit the east piling of the west span. So far there are no reports of any injuries or leakage.
