FOOD: After a full year of being woefully out of commission, forageSF's Underground Market returns with a Kickstarter celebration, featuring a line-up of favorites who got their starts at the market and have since gained success. CLUB: Club Leisure presents a DJ set by Smiths legend, Andy Rourke, whose contribution to The Smiths' The Queen Is Dead LP Johnny Marr claims was "something no other bass player could match". FILM: Oakland's Compound Gallery & Studios presents a screening of the documentary, Herb & Dorothy, which tells the story of avid art collectors, Herb Vogel and his wife Dorothy — a postal clerk and a librarian — who amassed a staggering collection of over 4,000 important works by unknown 1960s-era minimalist and conceptual artists (later valued at several million dollars) before donating their collection to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. FILM: Frameline comes to an end tonight with Cloudstreet, starring Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker (My Left Foot) as a couple who's been together for over thirty years, who embark on a roadtrip to the border to legally get married after breaking Fricker's character out of a nursing home. MUSIC: Brooklyn pop rock band, The Men, who's latest album, Open Your Heart, was described by Pitchfork as, "both tremendously physical and friendly, knocking you on your ass one second, then immediately helping you back up to put a beer in your hand," take the stage at Bottom of the Hill tonight, along with Oakland's Wax Idols and SF's Burnt Ones. MUSIC: Mark Gardener of Ride brings his 20th Anniversary celebration tour of Going Blank Again to Cafe Du Nord, in which he'll be backed by a full band, Silver Parade, performing songs spanning Mark's past 20 years in music, which includes some Ride songs along with Mark's solo material and instrumentals for the film/documentary, Upside Down.
