Hot Stuff: Food Blog Round Up

We must mention the do-gooding of local and international food bloggers in the form of Menu for Hope, which is a now annual fundraising campaign for the UN World Food Programme. It was founded by Pim, of Chez Pim. Last year, 17K went to UNICEF. For a mere $10 per raffle ticket, you have the chance to win "amazing food related prizes" in the way of books, meals, signed items and even tea with SFist favorite Harold McGee, more ›

Food Blogger Roundup

Food Blogger Roundup

We here at the Food Blog Round-Up constantly put our appetites and credulity on the line to make sure you stay on the cutting edge of food bloggery, so we can appreciate it when someone out there in the blogosphere also steps up to keep the words flowing. He contributed a recipe for Khari Poori with Mint Chutney, and the thought that "When such a disaster strikes, we are not American or Thai or Swedish. We are simply people." more ›

Sam Breach of Becks & Posh bravely opened up a copy of 7x7 magazine (San Francisco's answer to society mag New York Magazine) only to find her own name in it! Of course, 7x7 doesn't have any of their content on-line (for shame). From Sam's report, the article looks at the influence of online critics versus Chronicle bigwig Michael Bauer in terms of chef's opinions. Sam was nice enough to not only copy out this quote but to link to some of the best local foodies out there: more ›
