CBS 5 announces that "the California Supreme Court has denied a request to stay its decision legalizing gay marriage."

It was shot down in a 4-3 vote. Now, couples of the same sex can get married n June 17, after the order becomes finalized on June 16 at 5 p.m.

Today, we have two big homosexual wedded bliss items that Gay Town is eating up. (Oh wait, our mistake -- THIS is Gay Town.) First, a fresh new poll now finds that a small majority of Californians now believe same-sex couples should be able to marry.

Second, starting June 16, you will all be able to buy lettuce crispers or dust ruffles for your favorite queer couple; the first same-sex wedding will commence then.

But is all the coverage too much? And why every single day? Steven T. Jones points out today ("Getting past gay marriage") that "simply put, homosexuality doesn't freak out young people like it does old people, who may know very few lesbians or gay men," going on to say that California "voters won't be willing to write discrimination into the constitution." Which? True.

Call Arnold To Tell Him You Totally Support Gay Marriage, Or Else

It seems every queer we've ever come across in our lifetime has clogged your Editor's inbox this weekend with the following urgent request to call Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It seems we need to vocalize our support (again) for same-sex marriage. Why? Because the National Back of the Bus Organization have been calling the Gov in droves to voice their hysterical Elizabeth Hasselbeckness over the ruling. And we need you to tell him otherwise (and because you don't want to piss off any brittle, fussy gay mafia members). Check it:

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is receiving large numbers of phone calls from the supporters of "Limits on Marriage" (The constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage in California ) about his comment to a group of Log Cabin Republicans that he wouldn't support a constitutional amendment.

We don't want him to go back on his word. He must hear from us too. The aide I spoke to yesterday was so glad I called as most of his calls were from the "other side." Now it is automated and you will not talk to anyone, just push the number for pro Supreme Court decision.

To vote in support of the Supreme Court ' s decision on LGBT marriage:

 1. call 1-916-445-2841
2. press 1, 5, 1, 1
