We can only hope that every single news outlet has printed a typo when reporting the amount of cash the United States is sending Peru, which is still experiencing severe aftershocks. As the death toll climbs past 500, with more than 1,500 reported injuries, the United States government has pledged a whopping $100,000 in support. Why don’t we just send America’s Player, Eric (with his oh-so-attractive pierced nipples) from Big Brother to help them...

What we want to know is, what did we pay an extra $60 for? Has anyone out there actually missed a trip or had to reschedule one due to the current passport chaos? Please share.

In all the marches in of the cities in all the world, a march to City Hall is taking place today for one of the most noble causes in San Francisco to date. 100 or so golfers will be marching to the Board of Supervisors meeting to demand their voices be heard on the topic of shutting down public courses in the city.

We (sort of) hate to say "we told you so," but it looks like our obsession with the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association's focus on trash cans was just the tip of the iceberg on the garbage can tip.

You are all heroes in our book, and we will forever call May 19th “KubSvalCha Day” and celebrate it every year with an egg sandwich.

Many believe that what it takes to produce, distribute, and recycle water bottles is wasteful when you think about all that fine drinking water that’s there for the taking from Hetch Hetchy. Joe Doss of the International Bottled Water Association argues, “The amount of resin needed to make the bottled water containers has been reduced by about 40 percent over the past five years.” Wow. That has absolutely no impact on how many people actually recycle their bottles. Nor does it take into account the pollution it takes to distribute them. And even if the water bottles were made of starshine, unicorn sprinkles, and fairy dust, we still won’t be forking over any dough for bottled tap water, thank you very much.

So, yesterday morning we had a rare two hours to kill – the S.O. was out playing tennis and nothing good was happening on the BB live feeds. Why not head over to Bernal and get that mani/pedi we’ve been meaning to get for the last two months?

Uh oh.
