Burglar Stubbornly Remains on Telegraph Hill Cliffside [Updated]

That (allegedly) thieving dude we discussed yesterday, the one who was chased until he jumped a wall and found himself on a sheer, brush-covered cliff on the eastern side of Telegraph Hill, remains stubbornly on that cliff more than 36 hours later hoping cops will just go away. Police have been reluctant to go in after him out of concern for their own safety, and because of a 2008 incident in which a thief fell to his death from a cliff at the end of nearby Alta Street while running from cops himself. more ›

Fashionista Cat Burglar Gets Released From Jail, Gets To Keep Stuff She Stole

Judge Angela Bradstreet might have some fashionista sympathy for prolific cat burglar Pooja Gandhi (remember her?), because the judge has ordered that SFPD return to Gandhi all of the unclaimed stolen hats, shoes, purses and $4,000 raincoats that police confiscated from her Polk Street apartment in March of last year. San Jose Cops on the Lookout for Muumuu-Wearing Robber

A San Jose robber who held up a pay day loan store and a liquor store within a week of each other this past July has successfully and brilliantly eluded police. Witnesses were not able to give a thorough description of the suspect, aside from the obvious: He was clad in a "pink, long-sleeved gown with a white and purple floral pattern, along with a tan straw garden hat, white gloves and tan shoes." We wonder if he collected enough loot for a one-way ticket to Hawaii? more ›
