You want to be in a Brooks Brothers riot? Just dress sharp, and be tomorrow at 8:15am at the east entrance of City Hall! The SF TIC coalition is sponsoring a gathering to celebrate the Condo Conversion lottery, which will take place inside at 9am. You'll get free Peet's coffee, and you'll hear the plight off these poor TIC owners who can't convert there place into a condo, and how it's a heavy cross to bear, and how everyone hates Chris Daly.
No losers there.
Stage Fog Goes to Ashland
We take a break from our regularly scheduled theater programming for a road trip north to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland.
Seersucker Sashay Chante
Our own Dianne Feinstein continues to put her own stamp on Congress' annual "Seersucker Thursday" tribute to Southern style. Not since the last "Jeans Day" at their local Catholic High School has this country seen such a gang of folks giddy about a short-term change in dress expectations, and DiFi keeps the fun rolling with her gift of seersucker suits to her female colleagues in the senate.
SFist Raves: Thrift Town
SFist has not one, not two, but weddings to go to this summer, and we needed a snazzy suit. Something dark, not too heavy, and cheapcheapcheap. So we went to Thrift Town at 17th and Mission because, well, we do almost all our shopping at Thrift Town. Hey, when you're an underemployed blogger, you've got to look good on a budget.
