Jason Kendall - 2006 Stats: 143 games, 552 AB, 23 2B, 1 HR, 53 BB, 54 SO, 11 SB, .367 OBP, .342 SLG, .295 AVG The A’s starting catcher is the very definition of ‘light-hitter’; rarely does he get a hit greater than a double, and in his career with the A’s, he’s only managed one homerun, which barely cleared the fence, at that. Despite his obvious lack of power, Kendall is a very consistent......

-Let's get the Barry news (that being Barry B.) out of the way first. Essentially, George Mitchell, the guy supposed to look into the whole steroid thing, told everyone he wants Barry to cooperate. Barry told him to go suck an egg. Well, not really, but he basically said that he can't while he's still under investigation for perjury. You know, we think if there's any good thing to come out of being under investigation, it's that you don't have to answer anything. Did you accidentally delete "Grey's Anatomy" off of TiVo? Can't comment on that because it might interfere with the investigation. Did you steal my turkey on swiss from the office fridge? Can't comment on that due to the pending investigation. See what we mean? ...

-In JRich's first game back, the Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime 118-115. Monta Ellis had nine points in overtime to lead the way and Richardson had 19 points and 10 rebounds in his game back. The columnists think the Warriors will have delusions of grandeur and decide to stand pat during trade talks but that doesn't stop Golden State of Mind from linking to all the rumors out there concerning the Warriors. ...

-Barry B arrives in camp and does his annual State of The Barry speech, always an entertaining occasion. This time, however, he didn't drag his son into it or spend the entire time attacking the press, but instead, dared everyone to investigate him. Ray Ratto yawns. ...

Miss Monta Ellis' last minute shot two nights ago? Here it is. -UCLA beat Cal 62-46. Ray Ratto says UCLA was just too good. -the Stanford men’s basketball team beat USC. -The Cal women also lost. -What's up for the Sharks second half? -The Dallas Cowboys wants to interview 49ers OC Norv Turner for their head coaching job. As we despise the Cowboys, we wish Norv good luck. -The Golden State Warriors are only......

Because you all love sports so much, we're doing a daily feature on the latest in sports. Warriors 117 Kings 105- What's gotten into the Warriors? They've won four in a row and scoring like Leo DiCaprio in his "P----- Posse" days. Leading the way is Baron Davis who is playing out of his head and playing out of his head a lot as Nelson is playing him almost the entire game every game. Considering Baron's off-and-on again relationship with the injured reserve, we're not sure how smart a move that is. Also playing every minute of every game this early in the season is maybe not a smart move either. Anyways, he lead the way with 36 points. ...
