8/31, CASTRO GLEN PARK: A female walking south on Castro Street (near Sussex) was accosted by a 20- to 30-year-old black man who grabbed her purse from behind, pulled her sweater over her head, and swiped her cell phone. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. The suspect took off north on Castro. No arrests.

8/31, LOWER NOB HILL: A woman came home to notice her laptop and charger missing after leaving her apartment door unlocked. This happened on the 600 block of Sutter. According to police, a roommate was in the apartment sleeping and "awoke to see the suspects in the victim’s room." The suspects are described simply as a white man and Hispanic man somewhere in their 20s. Luckily, the thieves fled without causing harm. Scary. No arrests.

8/31, MARKET/GOUGH: At around 11 p.m.-ish, a lady was walking westbound on Market Street when a twentysomething black man approached her from behind and yanked off her purse. The hooligan fled the scene towards Otis Street. No arrests.

Early this morning, San Francisco played host to all sorts of mischief. Let's see:

Stabbing/Robbery: In Golden Gate Park near Bowling Green Drive and Middle Drive a 30-year-old male was walking when he was approached by a 30-year-old white female from behind. The suspect, according to SFPD, was "stabbed the victim in the back two times." The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening reports his backpack was then stolen by the suspect. No arrests have been made.

Stabbing: Over at Jones and Post, a 21-year-old man was "found on the ground with a stab [wound] to the left arm and left upper leg area," reports SFPD. The victim was "intoxicated and could not remember what happened except for being in a fight" beforehand with two white twentysomething females. He was treated for his non-life threatening injuries. No arrest have been made.

Aggravated Assault: On the 200 block of 13th Street, an man in his 40s was "struck in the head with a wooden board" by a suspect, and then "punched and kicked repeatedly" by another suspect. The victim was transported to SF General with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.

Richmond/Bank Robbery: Over on the 3700 block of Balboa Ave on Monday afternoon, an unidentified female walked into a bank, sauntered up to the teller, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The teller handed over some cash and the woman fled. No arrested have been made. [SFPD]

Laurel Village/Pot Bust: A home at 3306 California Street was raided for marijuana growth. Police seized 100 222 pot plants. Two men were arrested. [SF Appeal]

Bayview/Shooting: On the 1400 block of Palou Avenue, a 36-year-old man was hit by a stray bullet from gunfire between two passing cars. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower part of the body. Both vehicles fled the scene. No arrests have been made. SoMa/Stabbing: Following a verbal altercation, a 33-year-old man was stabbed on the 400 block of Minna early this morning. The victim was transported to the hospital. He is expected to survive. No arrests have been made. [SFPD]

At around 9 p.m. on Thursday on the 3000 block of Fulton, a 40-year-old man approached a woman sitting in her car, brandished a gun and demanded her property. The suspect, according to SFPD, managed to swipe her iPad and several other items. The victim drove off as the suspect looked for other items. No injuries were reported. No arrested have been made.

Police say that, early this morning on the Unit block of Plymouth Avenue in the Lakeview neighborhood, two suspects walked up to a 16-year-old man. Suspect #1, a man between 18-22, brandished a handgun while suspect #2, a man between 18-20, swiped the victim’s money, an ATM card and a laptop. Mean! The shaken victim was uninjured. No arrests have been made.

Downtown/Arson: Yesterday, over on the 400 block of Mission Street near the sleek Millennium Tower, the San Francisco Fire Department responded to two bush fires. After extinguished the tiny blazes, authorities determined that they were a result of arson. No arrests have been made.

Mission/Hot Prowl: Early this morning, at a residence on the 3300 block of 16th Street, a white man crawled through a window and stole a TV. (Mean!) Policed say, "The suspect goes to the victim’s room, kicks open the door, and takes a television." After a roommate noticed the creep, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. He is still at-large.

Hayes Valley/Stabbing: Near the the intersection of Fell and Laguna this morning, a 28-year-old man stabbed an 18-year-old man with a knife in front of several bystanders. After a nearby security guard witnessed the attack, police tell us he struck the suspect in the hand, causing the suspect to drop the knife and flee the scene. The victim, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, was whisked away to San Francisco General Hospital. No word yet on the motive. No arrests have been made.

Mission/Mugging: Over on the 2000 block of Mission Street, according to SFPD, two white females (ages 20-22) approached a 20-year-old Hispanic male and demanded money. One of the suspects "held a knife to the victim," which prompted a struggle and a cut to the victim's left hand. The suspects swiped his stuff and fled. No arrests have been made.

Haight/Assault: Egads, how gruesome. Early Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m.-ish, an assault occurred near the intersection of Waller and Webster. William Valentine, 42, was arrested for attacking someone he allegedly knew. According to BCN (via CBS 5), here's how it went down:

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., 42-year-old William Valentine, of San Francisco, attempted to run over the victim while driving a vehicle in the area of Webster and Waller streets, Lt. Lyn Tomioka said.

Valentine then crashed the car into a pole, exited the vehicle, and beat the victim on the head and body with a bat, she said.

Valentine was arrested and charged him with "attempted murder, mayhem, and assault with a deadly weapon.

Daly City/Murder: Responding to reports of gunfire early this morning, police found the body of an unidentified male on the 6200 block of Mission Street. The Chronicle reports, "Witnesses reported seeing two people running from the area after the shooting, which happened near the Daly City-San Francisco border." No arrests have been made.

Update: KTVU reports that the victim, 26-year-old Alexander Temaj Castanon, was shot as he was getting off a Muni bus on his way home from work. Police it "may have been a case of mistaken identity."

Mission/Carjacking: Last night at 21st and Folsom, a 53-year-old man was sitting in his parked vehicle when a suspect, believed to be in his 30s, yanked the victim out of his vehicle, tossed him to the ground, and stole his car. According to SFPD, the victim noticed a handgun in the suspect’s possession before he fled the scene in the poor guy’s vehicle. No arrests have been made.

Ingleside/Robbery: At Geneva and Pasadena on Wednesday, a 27-year-old Asian man was attacked with a "caustic chemical" by three suspects (three black men in their 20s). According to police, "Two suspects held onto the victim while the third suspect sprayed the victim in the eyes with caustic chemical. The suspects then threw the victim to the ground and robbed him of his wallet, wallet contents and cash." The Victim was treated at scene and released. No arrests have been made.

Market Street/Drunk Driving: Yikes! On Market Street between 7th and 8th Streets, an allegedly wasted driver ran a stop sign and struck a bicyclist before fleeing the scene. He then crossed Market at 8th Street and broadsided a vehicle carrying four passengers before, once again, taking off. And finally, the drunk suspect, according to police, then "collides with a second vehicle at 7th & Natoma, exits vehicle and fled from the scene on foot before being apprehended by officers at Mission & 6th."

TODAY/HAYWARD: Someone was shot in Hayward. (Hi, Hayward!) No arrests have been made. There's a $1,000 reward waiting for anyone with info leading to an arrest. Please call Crime Stoppers at 510-293-7197, or Hayward Police at 510-293-7034.

FRIDAY/OAKLAND: Ricardo Cortez Jr., a 14-year-old boy, was shot to death while riding his bike "on 45th Avenue near Bond Street at about 9 p.m., near Oakland’s Fruitvale district." No arrests have been made. There is a $10,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

(LAST) TUESDAY/SOUTH BEACH: A suspect in a string of armed robberies in San Francisco's South Beach neighborhood surrendered to cops last week at Howard and Third Streets. Sanders Hootsell, 35, according to reports, "is the prime suspect in five robberies that took place on small narrow streets or alleys in the city since July, according to police. Investigators have been calling the perpetrator the 'Alley Knife Suspect.'"

BERKELEY-OAKLAND/SATURDAY: Three people died after a murder and car chase through the East Bay Saturday night. "It all started at 6:35 p.m. when Berkeley Police responded to reports of gunfire near Allston Way and 10th Street in West Berkeley," according to reports, where offices found an unidentified male suffering from 10 gunshot wounds. He later died. Police then chased the kmurder suspects up to North Oakland, where the they crashed their Cadillac "into two other vehicles at the corner of Aileen Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way -- killing two innocent bystanders, one in a car, and one who was walking down the sidewalk." A 26-year-old Sunnyvale man, whose Mazda got caught up in the crash, died as well.

The driver of the Cadillac, a 22-year-old San Leandro man, and "another suspect" were taken into custody.

HUNTER'S POINT/SUNDAY: Police are looking for a the suspect who "shot a male victim multiple times in the city's Bayview-Hunters Point District in broad daylight Saturday morning." The victim was sent to SF General. His condition is not yet known.

EXCELSIOR/FRIDAY: An unidentified 19-year-old man was shot by SFPD officers during a shootout at Beacon gas station. It seems the shooting victim was allegedly involved in two other shootings in the 5000 block of Mission Street earlier that night. Occuring a little before midnight, SFPD Sgt. Lyn Tomioka tried to explain it, saying, "There was a hip-hop event that just got overcrowded and had been shut down."
