Politically-correct, conservative KSFO talk show host Melanie Morgan annonced yesterday that her contract would not be renewed due to financial issues over at KSFO's corporate parent, Citadel Broadcasting Corp. Co-host of the Lee Rodgers & Melanie Morgan Show, Morgan is somewhat (in)famous for jump starting the Gov. Gray Davis recall, which has since left us with Gov. Schwarzenegger; and calling for the rape, murder, hair-pulling, and vivisection of editor Bill Keller. (Okay, not really, what she actually said was that if Bill Keller should be tried for treason, he should face the ultimate penalty, which is death. So..there you go.)

Okay, there's this reporter named Verne Kopytoff who writes for the business section over at the Chron. We're sure he's a great guy, loves children and puppies, wonderful conversationalist, handsome, yadda yadda. In fact, if he ever felt like getting in touch, we'd be happy to chat over a beer or some coffee. But see, that's the thing. Somehow he got assigned to the 'blog' beat over at the Chron but, um, we're not sure that was the best decision his editor ever made.

Well, we'd reported on kerfuffle between Apple Computer and a few punk bloggers (AKA Apple v. Does) before, but now there have actually been some legal developments in the case. And while it doesn't look good, it's not entirely hopeless yet, either.

We're currently waiting for our gut instinct -- that Yahoo has, in fact, purchased Flickr -- to be proven right on Tuesday. And by "gut instinct," we mean we shook the old Magic 8-Ball and got "All signs point to yes."
