Yummy cupcake photo courtesy of Cupcake Bakeshop by Chockylit. Derrick at An Obsession with Food (and friend of SFist!) directs us to Snopes, which explores why we clink our glasses after a toast. A-ha, so it's not about potential poisoning. Kevin at Bacon Press has one funny rant about asparapee-you know, that strong, sulphuric way pee smells after eating asparagus. His rant has merit considering his workplace went without water for over an hour......

Kick those schlumpy tryptophan and Monday induced sighs and blahs to the curb and check out Bacon Press’s Food Porn. We can’t much bear thoughts and photos of turkey, but the tantalizing pics of vibrant veggies and wholesome soup are pleasing. Barely a trace of heartburn there, family and friends-who-are-like-family (we’re trying to be a bright and happy holiday trooper here). That seems a little low for us, but then again, our mother only knew how to make......

A week of rain brings out the best in travel and food bloggers -- why not beat the weather and take a trip or stay indoors to cook something nice? Ginevra Kirkland leverages the internets to take a vacation to Hawaii without leaving her desk, while Bay Area Bites looks to foodie blogs for culinary inspiration. Bacon Press takes in the almond blossom season in the Central Valley. Still, nothing better to chase the......

Hey, remember when SFist Rita asked for Manuel Jiminez' thoughts regarding The Daly's call for Bush's impeachment at the Board of Supervisors? Well, Manuel went and responded! There's nothing that SFist loves more than people actually paying attention. Left in SF notes that the work at Bernal Park starts tomorrow (and links to a Bernal neighborhood blog we hadn't seen before). Josh Wolf heads to a the federal building for a grand jury appearance......
