Only 2 Arrested So Far In Richmond HS Gang Rape

During Friday's Richmond High School gang rape that now, according to new reports, lasted somewhere around two hours, only two suspects have been arrested so far. Manuel Ortega, 19, was arrested at the scene. He is being held on $800,000 bail at a Contra Costa County jail.

A paltry 30 -- 30! -- people were arrested in San Francisco for public intoxication on New Year's Eve around Broadway, Market Street and the Embarcadero. (Needless to say, we're sad to see that number isn't higher. Did any of you even go out that night? The economy can't be that bad, can it? Live a little. Sheesh.) The California Highway Patrol, however, reports 84 drivers were pinched in the Bay Area for suspicion of driving under the influence of booze and/or drugs from 6 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday. Last year only 41 people were arrested from driving while tipsy.

Four arrests were made this week after the brutal gang rape of a 28-year-old Richmond lesbian. Josue Gonzalez, 21, the pig at right, was arrested yesterday on a warrant for gang rape, kidnapping for a sex crime, and carjacking. Humberto Hernandez Salvador, 31, and two other teens (the 15- and 16-year-old creeps who went by "Paco" and "Blue) were arrested on Wednesday night for their involvement in last week's vicious hate crime.

Two men were arrested in this week's savage beating death of Richard Weiland over at San Francisco's least favorite intersection, Turk and Taylor. Robert Hannah, 57, and Michael Cooper, 44, were nabbed by cops near the scene of the crime after witnesses ID's the two. The photographer being manhandled at around 20-25 seconds in is Luke Thomas of Fog City Journal. (Or so we're told.) Then, at the end, the camera operator receives a serious (and seriously questionable) smackdown by an SFPD officer.

In a day full of angry citizens locking themselves to large buildings, three students were also arrested this morning after chaining themselves to the entrance of the UCSF Mission Bay community center. It seems that they're hot and bothered over the UC Regents for a myriad of reasons, but mainly because of "fee hikes, the use of the SAT exam in student admissions, UC management of nuclear-weapons laboratories, and what they called the university's lack of diversity." Also, members of the UC Regent clan are appointed by the governor, not via election. Boo.

If you remember way back last week, 15-year-old Ichinkhorloo Bayarsaikhan was shot and killed at Washington Park during a botched robbery attempt while kicking it with some friends. The group of boys responsible for her shooting escaped on a bus, but now it seems that some or all of them have been caught. We'll update in the arrests when we know more.

(7pm-ish, 7/10, McAllister and Divisadero) An anonymous tipster sent in the above image, which is curious since the entirety of the SFPD was required to stake out a three block radius from last night’s All-Star Game, searching for elusive Alyssa Milano boob. No, not really, but we’re dying to know more. (Excuse the pun.) This shot shows at least five people in the process of being arrested, and was reportedly captured one hour after...
