And now for some even more depressing news. SFAppeal has word that Louis Ross and Jennifer Campbell, the foster parents of 5-year-old Hasanni Campbell who went missing earlier this month, have been arrested for murder. "Jennifer Campbell, Hasanni's aunt, is in custody in Oakland, while Ross has been arrested and is en route to the city," according to Officer Jeff Thomason.

Hasanni Campbell's was reported missing on August 10. Louis Ross claimed that he left Hasanni "in a car parked outside a Rockridge neighborhood shoe store where his foster mother works." Ross said that he "left the car to unlock the store door to give Hasanni, who wears braces on his legs, easier access." He went on to say that Hasanni simply vanished when he returned.

Marina Middle School coach Stephen Pedersen, 45, turned himself into authorities yesterday after a warrant was out for his arrested regarding molestation charges of a 13-year-old student. Pedersen has been hit with with "three counts of lewd or lascivious acts and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child."

And the best part? SF Weekly's Lauren Smiley uncovered the following eyeopening bit on him.

Incidentally, Pedersen garnered 3.9 stars out of a possible 5 on the Web site Rate My Teachers (there were 20 reviews). In light of Pedersen's arrest, however, this October 2007 review raised eyebrows: "eww pedersen??! ask some girls and they'll tell you wat (sic) they REALLY think of him....shudders."

Further proof that teenage girls know everything, period.

Buck was in Egypt doing a project on Egyptian bloggers who tend to be, according to The Mercury News "mostly leftist, anti-government bloggers." When photographing a demonstration, Buck and his translator, Mohammed Salah Ahmed Maree were both arrested. Buck sent the message "ARRESTED" from his cell phone to his Twitter network and had messages from his friends in Egypt and America working to find Buck and work on his release.

Buck was released last week, although Maree remains imprisoned. A petition for his release is circling the web. Buck plans on having a protest outside the Egyptian consulate at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Finally, a useful reason to have a Twitter. We finally succumbed to Twitter recently and haven't used it for anything more than letting everyone know when we're watching "Family Guy." Gah.

Say it ain't so, Bernie!

Wow. Former Catholic priest and SF radio talk show host has been "indicted on federal child pornography charges," according to the Chronicle.

It seems that the popular KGO 810 AM host turned himself in to authorities earlier today. Although the "specifics of the allegations against him are under seal," said the authorities, we're dying to know exactly what happened. Because: whoa. Like, really.

In addition to being a reporter for KGO, Ward hosts both "the Bernie Ward Show" and "Godtalk." (Bet he yearns for the halcyon days of only having to apologize to the Jewish community.) More -- much, much more -- on this later.

Ward’s attorney, Doren Weinberg, tells the I-Team the charges relate to Ward’s book project from several years ago. According to Weinberg, Ward was exploring "hypocrisy in America", and decided to look at child porn – how it’s acquired and hidden from society. As part of the research for the book, Weinberg says Ward acquired several images of child porn from websites, and "he exchanged them with adults who do the same thing."

Audet & Partners, LLP filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of commercial fishers and crab-based (?) businesses in San Francisco on November 20. Today on their site they claim the following, "Breaking News: Cosco Busan Vessel Arrested." Which? Okay then. We have yet to see footage of the vessel getting cuffed by the fuzz with its shirt off, and we can't imagine it heard its Miranda rights being read, but seeing as how we're prone to hyperbole, we'll go with their verb choice. Ultimately, it seems that this is one of two reasons why the ship has yet to leave the Bay. (The first being that the Coast Guard isn't sure if the Busan can safely navigate out of San Francisco waters.) We've been checking BoatingSF for the last few days, wondering why the Cosco has been docked near China Basin for the last couple of weeks. And now we know. So...there you go.

Three boys -- possibly ruining their lives at the wee ages of 15, 16, and 17 -- were arrested yesterday, all of then booked on suspicion of murder. The fuzz believes that the three of them were among the five boys who tried robbing a group of friends hanging out at Washington Park in Alameda, killing one of them. "One of the assailants fired several shots in the air and then shot Ichinkhorloo in the back, police said. The attackers fled on an AC Transit bus."

Still on the hunt for the remaining two assailants from that night, Alameda police Lt. Art Fuentes went on to deliver the Law & Order-worthy line,"We will identify you...[w]e will come after you." Which? They so will.

"I am not gay. I never have been gay," lisped Republican Idaho Senator Larry Craig, with his beard wife, Suzanne, by his side.

After getting arrested by an undercover office in a Minneapolis airport boy's room for engaging "in actions 'often used by persons communicating a desire to engage in sexual conduct,'" the GOP senator plead guilty to a disorderly conduct charge, with the hope that it would all quietly go away.

Well, it didn't.

What's more: while some gays snort a line or eight of crystal meth to deal with their self-loathing, others, such as Miss Lawrence Craig, for example, vote for a constitutional ban of same-sex marriage, vote against adding sexual orientation as a basis for hate crimes, vote no on prohibiting job discrimination by sexual orientation, and more. Fabulous.
