UPDATE: San Jose Amber Alert Issued

8-year-old Kayla Montez was kidnapped today from San Jose. She is a Hispanic girl, 4-feet tall, 45 pounds, has brown hair, and was last seen wearing a white jacket, a light blue shirt, and blue jeans. According to reports, the fuzz suspects 24-year-old Mark Porter of swiping the girl. He is 5’7”, 180 pounds, has brown hair, and is also Hispanic. He might be driving a black Chevrolet, with the CA license plate of 3VLS142. If you see him, call San Jose police at 408-277-4268. Update: She's been found. She's safe. The girl was dropped off at a Wienerschnitzel.

An Amber Alert was issued late this morning for two young sisters "believed to have been taken from their home by their mother, who may be suicidal," according to the Gate. Here are the details:

Eight-months-pregnant Enja Moore is on the loose with her six kids after stealing them from the "father's San Leandro home late Tuesday night." Swiping the father's Mazda MPV minivan in the process, Moore and her children - ages 1, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 - are presumably still in the Bay Area. Oh, and the three-year-old kid, we're told, needs insulin shots regularly, so if you've seen Moore (California license plate No. 5XOL029), do call the police at 510-667-7721. Thanks. (CBS 5)

An Amber Alert just broke in on the talking picture box. A presumably unfit father who "has a known drug history and is known to frequent the Oakland area" took off with his son today, claiming that he was taking him to McDonald's, but never returned. According to ABC 7, "Harold Bennett left his home with his child Justin Nottingham...Bennett is about 5'9, 245 pounds, has brown eyes and a bald haircut. Justin Nottingham is 5-years-old. He has blond hair and blue eyes and weights 48 pounds." He is all;egedly driving a blue 4-door 2004 Honda Civic, with a California license plate #5TIC261. (And with that, we now must to head to McDonald's for their new southern chicken sandwich food product. Curse them and their delicious buttery bun technology!)

-A mother and son who were considered missing this morning were found in Oakland early yesterday afternoon. Amber Alert cancelled. Is it totally wrong of us to really hate how they break into TV shows to broadcast an Amber Alert?

Hope you're having a bad-luck-free Friday the 13th out there, folks! Here's the ominous items we found on a casual search of San Francisco news sites.

You know how everyone says San Francisco is a little bubble utopia isolated from the realities of the rest of the world? Well, you might as well embrace it this Labor Day, because the eastbound Bay Bridge is closed all weekend.

Orrin Hatch. Oh, the humanity.
