A Photo Tribute to All-Star Tim Lincecum

Yesterday, July 14, St. Louis played host to the 80th All-Star Game, which was the most watched since 1999‎. With an appearance by President Obama’s and a somewhat exciting game, along with a 4-3 AL victory, the annual exhibition game was a hit with audiences. more ›

We Have a Weiner!

We Have a Weiner!

We're about a week late to this, but our All Star panel of SFist judges (consisting of David Hasslehoff, Allan Colmes, and the Drama Prairie Dog from YouTube fame) have come up with a winner of our "Rename Dodger Stadium Contest"—Brooklyn, by arblatt. This was actually a hard decision because “guest” posted two of our favorite entries, “Chavez Latrine” and “Hell” and as we don't know whom "guest" is, we can't give them anything. So congrats, arblatt, for not just your spiffy answer, but for actually following the rules more ›

It's All Star Weekend

It's All Star Weekend

We have to admit that we're not terribly excited about the All Star Game next Tuesday. The only thing that will make it worth watching is to see the ball park and the city get shown off. Well, that and they're expecting so many boats in the Cove that the Giants will only allow boats that register to be out there. We love when the Cove is filled with boats. more ›

It's Got to Be the Morning After

Last night, we went to last night's Warriors/Cavs game, a game the Warriors lost in overtime. Now, we'll let Basketball Chris do the analysis and post-game wrap up, but we wanted to make an observation of our own. Mainly, that we went to see Lebron and we were disappointed. But not surprised. more ›

The Unanticipated Adventures of the SuperFisters

Did you go to the Grant Morrison thing at Isotope on Friday night? It was awesome. At least, we bet it was; we couldn't go due to the demands of our other, paying job. Anyway, in honor of the brilliantly weird author's visit to our fair city, we checked out two of his recent works, and the "All Star Superman" series. But first, some silliness with robots and octopodes. more ›
