*COMEDY: That wacky/sexy comedy troupe, SPF7, puts on a show at The Dark Room tonight. According to Justin Lamb, "there will be a politically incorrect ad campaign for fruit, a massage, He-Man erotica [an aside: while cleaning out our old bedroom the other day, our mother came across and disposed of our cherished Man-E-Faces figure. Needless to say, we are crestfallen. -- SFist], food stealing from Satan, a sex offender with low self esteem,......

Submit your Bay Area finds to found [at] sfist [dot] com or tag them sfist and found on Flickr! Let us know when and where you found the item and any other helpful info. This one reads like its straight off of Passive-Agressive Notes, although it's of a much more subtle caliber than this one. SFist reader CD found this note on his door, written by his neighbors. Actually, this is some good news: Wired News just reported about the San Francisco Department of Public Health's finding that speed use among SF gays and SF-native Stephanie Tanner has decreased over the past three years. (Is there some alternative, slimming drug out there that no one's told us about? We kid.) Although the department claims that this new baggie-free lifestyle is due "to successful public health campaigns," drug use outside of crystal meth......

And it’s all on sale for rock bottom prices – many items as low as $5. Creativity Explored......

These issues tend to be much more personal and even the most philanthropic-minded friend might not want to be reminded of it during the holiday season. Still, there are some worthwhile charities you can consider and it's easy to find the......

Here at SFist, we'll admit to a bias toward events where fabulousness and social conscience go hand in hand. That's why we're looking forward to Sunday night, when The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation is presenting Help is on the Way for the Holidays VII. Northern California’s largest annual Aids benefit concert, this night of performances from stage and screen stars will benefit the HIV/AIDS Program at Children’s Hospital Oakland, Project Inform, and Maitri. You can......

Join us tonight at 111 Minna for an art show curated by Aaron Burtch, entitled "Five Ways To See." When he's not making great music with Grandaddy, Burtch is making great paintings and pictures, which he'll be showing alongside artwork from Souther Salazar, Alexander Cheves, Jeffery Harland, Joel Elrod. Afterward, your music options include the oft-recommended Neko Case with The Sadies at Bimbo's, the electro-pop of locals The Lovemakers at Popscene, or the gentle Brit-pop......
