In tweets sent out Saturday, Ting confessed to the allegations.

"I am writing to offer each and every one of you a direct apology that my personal behavior has hurt you," he writes in a late-Saturday-morning string of tweets, though never addressing whether or not if the woman involved was Foster. "Some of you might have seen a report in a right-wing online site alleging that my advocacy for workers was motivated."

Ting later clarified the affair never served as a source of motivation for any bills he's either worked on or voted for in the past.

However, that may not be the case. The CDN in their first report Friday cited that Foster was used as "a prop to bolster support for a number of ballot measures and bills.” One of those included AB5 — the much bemoaned and maligned “gig worker bill” that's crippled in-state freelancing careers and, in an odd turn of events, has perhaps negatively affected the wages of rideshare and food delivery app drivers. Authored by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, who hails from the state’s 80th District in Southern California, she apparently met with Foster about the bill, but it's unclear as to how that meeting transpired and what exactly was discussed.

Per KPIX, Ting's posts drew a cornucopia of mixed reactions; some urged him to "step down," while others applauded his frankness and honesty. One San Francisco lawmakers also added his thoughts and opinions into the fray.

Thank you for this sincere expression about a deeply painful situation.
Today is, presumably, one of the worst days in the life of Michael Duvall (R-Yorba Linda), Orange County's 72nd Assembly
District representative. Why? Because the married Orange County conservative admitted to an extramarital affair, accidentally broadcast live from his microphone during a legislative debate. The tryst involves "a female lobbyist whose clients had business before another committee on which
 Duvall sits."

Brilliant.

OC Weekly reports that "Duvall, speaking to a relatively mum Republican colleague seated to his left, apparently had no idea his dais microphone became live beginning about a minute before the start of a cable-televised committee hearing."

Here's what he said:

"She wears little eye-patch underwear," said Duvall, who is married with two children. "So, the other day she came here with her underwear, Thursday. And
so, we had made love Wednesday--a lot! And so she'll, she's all, 'I am going
up and down the stairs, and you're dripping out of me!' So messy!"

But wait, it gets better:

"And so her birthday was Monday," he said at the Wednesday, July 8 committee hearing. "I was 54 on June 14, so for a month, she was 19 years younger than
me. I said, 'Now, you're getting old. I am going to have to trade you in.' And she goes, '[I'm] 36.' She is 18 years younger than me. And so I keep
teasing her, and she goes, 'I know you French men. You divide your age by
two and add seven, and if you're older than that, you dump us.'"

Duvall represents the 72nd District, covering Anaheim, Orange, La Habra, Yorba Linda, Placentia, and Fullerton. He is also against gay marriage. Big time.

Check out a SoCal news report on Duvall after the jump.

BigHeadDC claims that recently-retired Trent Lott has a taste for male escorts. Sort of. We think. Coochie-choochie-coo. Who the hell knows. It's a post that's a bit too coy in revealing direct facts, reminding one of the Ted Casablana's maddening gossip column, The Awful Truth.

According to BigHeadDC:

The boy happens to be real, and his "stage name" is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress.
