Happy hour goes from 5-9PM ($4 well drinks & $3 beer), runs all night long, free bar snacks, no cover, fun, '90s, glamour, smooth beats, harmonies, jarring colors, and again, coloring books!

Sister Kate star Jason Priestly — we don't have any choice 90210 references since we never really cared for the show; we were Melrose fans — was in town Thursday filming in the city's white-hot Mission arrondissement. He was in town to shoot his Canadian TV (!) show Hollywood & Vines with co-host Terry David Mulligan. The show airs nationally in Canada and internationally via Travel Channel UK. (Not yet available in the US, but you could try torrent. The San Francisco/Napa Valley episode will air in October. )

But! Jason and Terry did get the chance to meet with Liam Mayclem (Eye on the Bay on CBS 5 and Foodie Chap on KCBS) at 18th and Valencia. The trio went to Abbot's Cellar, Mission Cheese, Tacolicious and Craftsman & Wolves. (What, no Arinell?!) It was all a part of Mayclem's new "Inside the Kitchen" food tours. (The first four "Inside the Kitchen" tours will take place on August 10, 17, 24, and 31. Details.)

Priestly will still be in town today, at least for a little while.

MTV To Air 'The Real World: San Francisco' Marathon

Got weekend plans?
Got weekend plans? Cancel 'em if you're into flannel and high-waisted stonewashed denim. That's right: you're invited to open the time capsule that is The Real World: San Francisco, with an all-weekend marathon screening on MTV. The third (and, let's face it, best) season of MTV's Real World aired in 1994, back when the "seven strangers picked to live in a house" on Lombard Street weren't exclusively spray-tanned fame whores getting wasted 24/7.

It's the most emotionally fraught season of the show, with relationships between housemates Judd, Rachel, Pedro, Cory, Mohammed, Pam and, of course, the terrifying Puck touching on themes of race, religion, politics and especially HIV/AIDs. Pedro died of complications from HIV/AIDS just hours after the finale of the season aired in late 1994.

If you watched the show, you'll also remember the despicable bike messenger Puck, who was evicted from the house for being a horrible person (he's currently serving jail-time for stalking). And who can forget aspiring cartoonist Judd and med-school student Pam, whose real-life romance blossomed through sharing their mutual grief over Pedro's death? Judd and Pam, it should be noted, are now married and live in San Francisco.

Watch to take a voyage back in time:

While on hold during a fourth-quarter-earnings conference call, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer complained about her company's on-hold music, not realizing her mic was on. According to the NY Post (bible of accuracy), Mayer called the unspecified music "garbage" — telling her team to "make a note."

Enter a '90s-era one-hit wonder:

[...] That’s when rapper Snow, the one-hit wonder behind 1992’s “Informer,” was enlisted by New York’s Jingle Punks, creators of music for NBC’s “The Voice” to grant Mayer’s wish. He recorded a new song — with the catchy lyrics, “You’re on hold, hold on Yahoo, gimme a second while I patch you through . . . The CEO didn’t like da’ hold music, so I wrote this jam for you” and, “Yes, it’s Yah - Yahoo!” It’s gained fans on tech blogs and was even posted on Yahoo’s forum. No word yet whether Mayer approves.

Yeah. No word from Mrs. Mayer because Mr. A Licky Boom Boom Down's song is, with all due respect, a steaming plop of fecal matter. Behold:

Bah. If you know anything about Mayer, Mr. Snow, you would know that she's prone to fabulous attire and, presumably, fabulous music. Which is to say, she doesn't seem like a '90s-hip-hop or Spin Doctors kind of listener. We peg her as en En Vogue type. (They're from Oakland!) Or, better yet, a musical theater kind of woman.. (Fact: geeks like musical theater... or they should.) Or, just like the entire world over, she's a Beyonce fan.

As for the on-hold music? We'll update as soon as someone at Yahoo headquarters in Sunnyvale agrees to put us on hold.
