1717.jpgThe first of the Bay Area alt-weeklies to do their "Best of the Bay" contest is the corporate one, SF Weekly. And since one of the categories is Best Blog, we'd totally be flattered and honored if you would uphold your constitutional duty by voting for us. We can't really say we'd give you anything for voting for us, but we will tell you that everytime you do, an angel get's their wings.

Contest ends May 4th so go, go, go!

badger1_650x420.jpgOnce again, little ole SFist is going to be on ABC 7 during their 6 o'clock broadcast. Somehow, they think our whiny, silly post about Gary Delagnes criticizing Gen X is worthy of a story. Don't watch it to see us or some professor try to pontificate on generational differences (badly, we might admit) but watch it because Delagnes not only clarifies his remarks but goes on to discuss just why it is that we have trouble putting more cops on the street. Considering how relevant the issue is, not just with handling crime but in emergency preparedness, it just might be worth a looksee.

I live across the street from this garden and happen to spy some action today I thought I'd share with you. Since the story was published, there has been someone watching over the garden during the day. Today, two people got out of a car, and over an hour, appeared to be making plans for the sites: walking the border of the garden, making hand gestures to wipe things out, etc. The lone watch person for the garden got in their face about it and the woman in the business suit (perhaps Carol Cosgrove?), whipped out her cell phone and called the cops! (You know these green thumbs turn violent when someone fucks with their snow peas.) Anyways, it seems like plans are in the works. There wasn't any arrests, but I did get some great pics!"

After the jump, one more picture
