Want to write for SFist?
Screw the Peace Corps, writing for SFist might be the toughest job you'll ever love. You won't get paid, our commenters can be brutally candid, and our editors can be even worse.
But it's a hell of a lot of fun, you can get a lot of free stuff, and our readers are the coolest, smartest, and most engaged folks in the Bay Area. Those of us who write for SFist wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
SFist writers should commit to posting regularly enough to adequately cover their subject area (specific posting frequency is detailed below). They should write in a fun and engaging way, and with a unique viewpoint. It's important for them to know their stuff, but it's even more important not to be boring. Want to give it a shot? Email us with the position you're interested in the subject line, and tell us a little more about yourself. Here's what we're looking for right now (and if you have a proposal for something else that you think SFist needs more coverage of, please feel free to pitch it to us):
