A large-scale benefit concert is rumored to be in the works for next month at AT&T Park, says Willie Brown in the Chronicle, with all the proceeds going to benefit victims in the North Bay fires. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff is reportedly joining forces with tech investor Ron Conway, Tipping Point founder Daniel Lurie, Giants President Larry Baer, and Another Planet Entertainment’s Gregg Perloff to get some big names on the bill and bring in $30 million to $50 million that would go directly to victims "with none [of] the 'overhead' usually taken by big charities," Willie says.

The goal is to make this happen in early November, though it sounds like it's dependent on performers' availability.

This rumor arises as four fires in Sonoma and Napa counties continue to burn, though full containment should come within days.

One imagines some extra money could be made by selling the rights to televise the concert as well.

So who might the big names be? Lady Gaga has connections in wine country — she's friends with restaurant owner Domenica Catelli of Geyserville's Catelli's — but she just did a show at AT&T Park in August. Carlos Santana lives somewhere up there and has leant his name to a line of sparkling wine at Mumm. But any number of major performers would likely want to be a part of this.

Jennifer Lopez just hosted her own benefit concert and telethon for Puerto Rico hurricane victims called One Voice: Somos Live! , which featured performances by Demi Lovato, DJ Khaled, Ricky Martin, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, and more. VH1 reports that the telethon brought in over $20 million in donations.
