One GOP congresswoman's anti-choice campaign advertisement was suspended from being promoted on Twitter's advertising platform yesterday.

Representative Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) created a campaign video wherein she detailed her work against Planned Parenthood. In that video, she said, "I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts, thank God."

A Twitter spokesperson confirmed to The Hill that Blackburn's ad is no longer being promoted as an ad through their platform, though her original tweet containing the video is still up on her feed.

Blackburn headed up a panel that investigated Planned Parenthood following the release of an undercover video from 2015 that showed PP employees talking about transferring the tissue from aborted fetuses to other laboratories. Later, the video was found to be heavily edited to make it sound like Planned Parenthood was selling the tissues to research laboratories, which is highly illegal. It's worth noting, though, that it is legal to donate that tissue to the laboratories, given consent from the patient.

No investigations turned up any proof that Planned Parenthood was selling tissue, but despite that fact, the GOP has used the accusation as an excuse to discredit Planned Parenthood as an organization. Blackburn's stake in that is evident in the campaign ad, which Twitter deemed to be "inflammatory" and "negative," according to an e-mail Blackburn sent to supporters, acquired by The Hill. She wrote:

Twitter has shut down my announcement video advertising. Silicon Valley elites are trying to impose their values on us. When I talked about our legislative accomplishments to stop the sale of baby body parts, they responded by calling our ad 'inflammatory' and 'negative.'

She's taken the stance that she's being "censored for telling the truth," which, given the fact that her video is still up on Twitter, isn't exactly true.
