Marvel comic franchise fans are justifiably bugging out that San Francisco serves as one of the shooting locations for the latest comic book adaptation Ant-Man & The Wasp (and by “latest,” I mean that it’s one of the eight or nine dozen Marvel comic book movies that will be released in the summer of 2018). Ant-Man & The Wasp, sequel to the also partially San Francisco-shot Ant-Man, is currently shooting in Nob Hill and Russian Hill, and Reddit user “Pentapu5” took the above action shot video from his, her, or their apartment.

Pentapu5 posted the extended two-minute version of that stunt shot, as well as an another SUV flying down a street shot that are both sure to have you buying advance tickets on Fandango for this July 2018 release.

Hoodline reports that shooting is expected to continue until 10 p.m. tonight. Hoodliner Nathan Falstreau also notes that on Sunday, “in Cole Valley, a convertible Packard from the 1930s was parked in front of Cole Valley's Ice Cream bar as actors wearing period costumes performed inside.”

A site manager for the shoot told Hoodline that the film is called Cherry Blue and it stars Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer. These are lies! Ant-Man & The Wasp will feature Pfeiffer, Douglas, and Laurence Fishburne in supporting roles. Paul Rudd will reprise the title role, and Evangeline Lilly, whose wet t-shirts and dry humor I miss so much since LOST went off the air, will play the Wasp.

No details on the plot yet, but my Hollywood sources tell me this — an evil children's programming and amusement park empire has taken over the Marvel universe, forcing our heroes to produce a series of redundant crossover franchise films. Details are scarce beyond that, but the 2015 Ant-Man director Peyton Reed is back at the helm of this sequel.
