The tables were turned on an alleged bike thief Wednesday, when the theft victim instead stabbed the robber.

Police say the altercation occurred at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday, on the grounds of San Francisco's popular Dolores Park.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, a group of five suspects "attempted to rob [the victim] of his bicycle."

The victim, police say, "pulled out a knife and slashed" one of the aspiring thieves.

The five suspects in the attempted theft were all detained by police, the SFPD report on the incident says. According to police, that includes the suspect who was stabbed, who police say suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
