Police are seeking three teenage males today, after the trio shot a bus parked in the Mission District with paintballs, then turned their weapon on the woman inside it.

According to the San Francsico Police Department, the attack occurred at 10:07 a.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Mission Streets.

Police say that three suspects described only as male juveniles walked up to a bus "parked on Cesar Chavez at Mission St...and started shooting the front of the bus with paintball guns."

A 36-year-old woman who was inside the bus then stepped out of the parked vehicle, causing the trio to flee.

As they ran off, one of the teens "turned and shot [the woman] several times to the body," police say.

The woman was not seriously injured, police say. The suspects, who successfully escaped from the scene of the crime, remain at large as of Wednesday morning.
