A man was killed Monday night in San Francisco, the victim of a shooting in San Francisco's Tenderloin district.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the shooting occurred at 11:44 p.m. Monday, near the intersection of Hyde and Ellis Streets.
Police say that a suspect who appeared to be around 25 years old shot a 25-year-old man with a handgun, then fled.
The victim died at the scene, according to the SFPD. As of Monday morning, he had not been publicly identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office.
Police did not have further details on the case as of this morning, including any possible motive in the crime. They did confirm, however, that no arrests have been made in the case.
According to an SFPD spokesperson, last night's shooting is San Francisco's 14th homicide for 2017. The city's last slaying was a week earlier, when 47-year-old Robert Matthews was stabbed to death at Golden Gate and Jones last Monday morning.
