A team of carjackers proved too much for a Mission District man Monday morning, as the duo stole his car after he left it running in his driveway.

The San Francisco Police Department says the incident occurred at 1:30 this morning, on the 3100 block of 24th Street, which is between Folsom Street and South Van Ness Avenue.

According to the SFPD, the 40-year-old victim "pulled into his driveway, exited vehicle while it was still running and proceeded to open his garage."

While he was doing so, two women aged between 16 and 20 hopped into his car "and proceeded to drive away with it."

In an effort to thwart the theft, the man jumped onto the car. As the thief sped up, the man jumped back off, suffering minor injuries in the process.

The suspects took off east down 24th, and remain at large as of Monday morning. According to the SFPD, no arrests have been made in this case.
