Put on some sunscreen and grab those short shorts, because mother nature has oh so graciously decided to bless us with warmth and sunshine for the weekend of Pride. The Chronicle lets us know that revelers and parade-goers should expect temps in the low 70s and mostly sunny skies all the way through early next week.

Also, as we're just coming off the summer solstice, The Weather Channel notes that the sun isn't expected to set until after 8:30 p.m. all weekend— so get your park and parade plans ready.

Trans March events start this morning at 11:00 a.m. in Dolores Park, with programming throughout the day, and the march itself begins at 6:00 p.m. — this year they celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Compton's Cafeteria Riot, which will mean they will march down Market Street to Turk and Taylor to mark the location of the riot. Tomorrow, Dyke March celebrations kick off in Dolores Park at 11:00 a.m. and continue at the park until 6:00 p.m. when marchers gather and get ready to take to the street.

The Civic Center Pride celebration is going both Saturday and Sunday, and the big downtown Pride parade starts Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Market & Beale Street.
