Thanks, Warriors. The Finals are over, and The New York Times has a sad piece about what a disappointment the Warriors turned out to be in the end, flagging and clumsy pretty much as soon as the post-season started, no longer able to make quite so many magical three-pointers. But as KRON 4 reminds us, it’s Taco Tuesday and Taco Bell promised to give everyone who asked a free Doritos Locos taco if either team “stole” a win on the road. The Warriors won Game 4 in Cleveland, and because of that, you can have a free taco today. For what it’s worth. Which isn’t much.

$1.49 in fact. That’s what that taco normally costs. And between 2 and 6 p.m. today you can eat one for free at participating Taco Bell locations.

It’s unclear if the chain plans to make good on the promise for the Cavs’ wins in Games 5 and 7, but probably not. As Snopes tells us, these give-aways cost a lot of revenue — last November, Taco Bell spent “at least $10 million giving away free A.M. Crunchwraps after promising to do if anyone stole a base during the 2015 World Series between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals.”
