The Oakland Museum of California (OMCA), previously the Oakland Museum, is an interdisciplinary museum founded in 1969 and respected for its collections of art, such as the work of the craftsman movement, to biology, including a catalog of sea shells. Add to that: A library of shoes from Golden State Warriors players.

Follow this logic: The Warriors make history with some regularity, so don't they deserve to be properly enshrined? The curators at OMCA clearly think so, or are at least capitalizing on Dubs mania in a new exhibit of memorabilia and culture called Warriors Pride, Oakland Pride. And as longtime Warriors fans will remind the bandwagon crowd, this team has a history worth remembering that doesn't start yesterday.

The Chronicle made note of the opening, which is planned for the 17th. It's possible more history will occur between now and then, so let's not freeze this team in amber just yet.
