Triptych, the brunch and dinner spot that's spent over a decade at 1155 Folsom, is now closed for good after variously having for-lease and for-sale notices up over the past few years. Tablehopper catches the news, the restaurant's phone has been disconnected, and Yelp lists the place as closed too. Once known as Patisserie Cafe starting in the 1990s, one of the original staffers there, David Kittredge, took over as owner and rechristened the place Triptych in 2005, featuring rotating work by local artists on the walls and serving burgers and hearty American fare.

They also served a notably boozy brunch in recent years in which $30 got you an entrée and all-you-can-drink mimosas.

It looks as though Triptych may have outlived its profitable life by a bit, since a liquor license suspension hit on March 14 that appears to be tax-related.

No doubt, though, that this restaurant space in central SoMa won't stay empty for very long.
