Super Bowl 50 is soon upon us, and as San Francisco busies itself in preparation by telling the homeless they'll have to leave, San Jose has gotten to work extending the red carpet for the very, very rich. The Fairmont Hotel in San Jose has announced a $150,000 (minimum) hotel package for the stupidly wealthy to really bask in the opulence that the Super Bowl has to offer.

The "Ultimate Super Bowl 50 Package" includes a three-night stay in the hotel's Presidential Luxury Suite, in addition to eight tickets to the big game. What other sweet, sweet amenities come with the offer? Thankfully, Luxury Travel Magazine has the details.

"The 5,530 square foot suite boasts vista views of Silicon Valley and includes private butler service, two chauffeured Cadillac Escalades, premium in-suite bar, a case of Dom Pérignon and catered in-suite daily breakfast throughout the duration of stay."

But wait, there's more!

The package also comes with "a Saturday excursion to Sonoma Wine Country, where guests will choose from a round of golf at championship Sonoma Golf Club or 60-minute Willow Stream Spa treatments at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa." Why would you get a hotel in San Jose to go to Sonoma for spa treatments?

Also, for some unknown reason, the hotel plans to throw in an "Apple dream gift package valued at $5,000."

So, dear readers, if any of you have plans to pour gasoline over a big pile of cash and laugh as you watch it burn, may we suggest this instead?

That aside, we here at SFist think this over-the-top offer distracts from what the Super Bowl is really about — drinking light beer while grown men give each other permanent brain damage. And that, friends, is an experience that's truly priceless.
