Two 19-year-old men have been arrested in connection with an October robbery and assault that left a 54-year-old tourist badly injured and in need of reconstructive surgery. The incident happened on Stockton Street on the night of October 26, and in the video above obtained by KRON 4 you can see the whole crime take place. The man can be seen walking down the sidewalk looking at a map on his phone, trying to find his way back to his hotel, when he walks into what Stanley Roberts describes as a "hornet's nest" of individuals, which appears to include three men and two women.

Two of the men can be seen knocking the man to the ground, robbing him, punching him and kicking him in the head. He sustained injuries severe enough that he needed reconstructive surgery to his eye socket and jaw.

The SFPD released the video Wednesday just as they served three search warrants in the Brookdale and Sunnydale housing projects, detaining one woman who was later released, and arresting 19-year-old Tristean Duree and 19-year-old Odis Doss, as ABC 7 reports. It appears the Gang Task Force was able to identify some of the suspects via the high-definition surveillance video.

Roberts went along for the police raids, and as you can see they found several pieces of evidence, including a Texas Rangers baseball cap they believe was the same one worn by one of the attackers in the video, and a baby stroller that can been being pushed by one of the female accomplices.

Both Duree and Doss were out on bail for previous offenses and so their charges had a special enhancement. They were both booked into jail for robbery, aggravated assault, and conspiracy.

Police are still seeking information pertaining to the case, perhaps in the interest of making more arrests. Anyone who may know anything is asked to contact Sgt. Rose Smith of the Central Station Investigation Team at (415) 315-2400, or call the Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the text message with SFPD.
