Here is some raw footage from my jump off the Golden Gate Bridge back in 2001 or 2002 :) I wanted to do a triple reverse from the 700ft tall tower that was under hung by little steps that came off the tower. My buddy Arne that was jumping it with me didn't want to film it. He told me he was tired of watching friends die and I said stop being a pussy, you are the only other one up here so you have to film me :)

This video from Jeb Corliss is circulating on Facebook after he recently posted it, though it was shot in 2001 or 2002 (he's unsure of the year). It features a BASE jump off of one of the 700-foot-tall towers of the Golden Gate Bridge, which is highly illegal, and may have been done very early in the morning. He writes, "My buddy Arne [who] was jumping it with me didn't want to film it. He told me he was tired of watching friends die and I said stop being a pussy, you are the only other one up here so you have to film me."

Obviously, he has a parachute, and he succeeds in doing his triple reverse flip and then casually gliding to some flat ground at the shore near the base of the bridge.

Corliss is in fact a professional BASE jumper, and since this death-defying dive he's jumped off the Eiffel Tower and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. Below is a video of him jumping off Angel Falls in Venezuela a few years prior to his Golden Gate Bridge stunt. Of that jump, with emoticons, he writes, "We jumped in with no food, no water and no idea what we were doing. What was suppose to be a 1 day trip turned into a 4 day fight to survive :)" Here he is on Conan talking about a 2012 jump in South Africa where he broke his ankles and otherwise injured himself.

Back in 2011, that teenager on a field trip from the North Bay decided to take a flying leap off the bridge deck (200 feet above the water) and remarkably survived. He was later arrested by the CHP.

Also below is a clip from a 45-minute documentary titled, Fearless: The Jeb Corliss Story in which he relays the story of how they gained access to the bridge towers by pretending to be construction workers.
