This year's local Make-A-Wish kids must have some amazing, down to earth parents because their wishes are, well, pretty normal and inspiring.

First there was 13-year-old, wheelchair-bound Austin James whose dream to ride BART came true in July (we dubbed him BARTkid). Now there's three-year-old Renzo Lombardi, who fulfilled his wish to be a construction foreman at the site of new housing being built at 33 8th Street.

As the Chronicle reports, Lombardi is undergoing treatment for Wilm's tumor, a form of kidney cancer, and takes solace in playing with toy trucks.

The Seaside, California-based boy visited the Trinity Properties site in downtown San Francisco on August 19, and assisted by Swinerton Builders, played with the bulldozers and other machinery. There was also a tour and safety orientation (in case you were worried). Lombardi commemorated the day by pressing his handprints and name into a slab of wet concrete.
